Vehicle graphics

A company vehicle is out on the road anyway — past building sites, through residential streets, across car parks. Lettered, it advertises along the way, for a cost paid once and none per contact after that.

We design and produce vehicle graphics for vans, company cars, delivery vehicles and trailers — from a single car to a fleet with one consistent look. The focus is lettering and partial areas: logo, wordmark, contact details and graphic elements, set cleanly on the vehicle in question.

Options and variants

What can go on the vehicle:

  • Logo and company name – The basics, usually on the doors and the rear.

  • Contact details – Phone number and website at a size that stays legible as the vehicle passes. With a QR code where wanted.

  • What you do – A short line naming the trade. A vehicle carrying only a name tells a passer-by nothing.

  • Graphic elements – Shapes, lines and areas that follow the body of the vehicle instead of fighting it.

  • Partial wraps – Individual panels finished in colour, the tailgate or a side section for instance, for considerably more presence than lettering alone.

  • Trailer graphics – Large flat surfaces, and often the most economical advertising space in the fleet.

  • Magnetic signs – A removable answer where the vehicle should not be permanently lettered.

  • Fleet graphics – A layout that works across different vehicle models, so the fleet reads as one company.

Planning and design

First we look at the vehicle — model, body shape and the surfaces that are actually usable. Door handles, swage lines, edges, panel gaps and windows all decide where a graphic can sit and where it would end up squeezed or cut through. With several vehicles there is the further question of how the same artwork reads across different models.

From your logo and the details you want, a design is drawn onto the vehicle outline, so what it will look like is visible before production. If there is no design yet, we take that on; an existing logo we prepare for production.

Production follows your approval.

Production

Depending on the artwork, the films are made two ways: single-colour lettering and logos are cut from vinyl, multi-colour artwork and photographs are digitally printed. We work with films made for vehicle application, among them ORACAL.

Colour choice is matched to the vehicle: what reads with contrast on white panels can disappear on dark grey. On fleets we also check that the same artwork stays workable at a comparable size on every vehicle.

Installation

Application takes place at our workshop or, by arrangement, on site — depending on the vehicle, the scope and the working conditions. The surface is cleaned first. How cleanly lettering ages is decided here: at edges, swage lines and transitions, where the film has to be worked rather than pulled.

With several vehicles we fix positions and dimensions once and carry them over to each further vehicle, so the fleet is not a collection of one-offs.

Typical applications

  • Trades and construction – The vehicle stands visible at the site for hours, often in the very street where the next job comes from.

  • Delivery and service vehicles – Constantly out, always in the same area; recognition comes from repetition.

  • A single company car – For small businesses often the first advertising of any kind, because it costs nothing extra per contact.

  • Trailers – A large flat surface that keeps advertising while parked.

  • Fleets – One consistent design across several models, so the vehicles read as one company.

Why OSTSEE Werbeagentur

It starts with a conversation about the location, the budget and what the sign actually has to do. That becomes a design you see before anything goes into production. We build to that design — and we fit it ourselves, rather than handing it to someone who never saw it.

Because all four steps happen in house, there is no point where responsibility changes hands. If something needs adjusting, you ring one number.

Frequently asked questions

Which vehicles can be lettered?

Vans, cars, delivery vehicles and trailers. What matters is less the type of vehicle than the usable surface — send us photographs from the side and the rear and we will tell you what sensibly fits.

Can we have just the logo and contact details?

Yes, that is the most common case and a good start. Logo, company name, phone number and website on the doors and rear already read clearly — and much of it can be extended later.

Is a partial wrap possible?

Yes. Individual areas such as the tailgate, a side panel or the bonnet can be finished in colour and combined with lettering. That is the usual route where lettering alone would be too restrained.

Can several company vehicles be given the same look?

Yes. A layout is developed that works across different models. Positions and dimensions are fixed once and carried over to each vehicle.

We have no design yet. Can you do that?

Yes. Design and production artwork are part of the job. We use an existing logo and prepare it; where there is nothing at all, we design the graphics from scratch.

Can existing film be removed and replaced?

Yes, existing lettering and film can be removed and replaced with a new design, depending on its condition and the surface underneath. We check the existing film and the surface first — how much work it is depends on the age of the film and how it was applied at the time.

How long do vehicle graphics last?

We use quality films made for the purpose. How long the graphics actually look good depends on several things: the material, the surface, weather and UV exposure, whether the vehicle is kept outside or in a unit, how it is washed, and what mechanical wear it takes. A blanket number of years would be a guess.

What do vehicle graphics cost?

That depends on the size of the vehicle, the area covered, the number of colours, printed or cut vinyl, the number of vehicles and the design work. With the model, photographs and your logo we can price it properly.
