Signage for Rügen
On Rügen the season matters a great deal to many businesses. Anyone who wants to be found in summer has to be visible before it – and visible to guests who do not know the place, who are driving down the road for the first time and who decide within seconds where to stop.
We design, build and install signage for hotels, restaurants, tourism businesses and companies on the island: illuminated lettering, window and glass graphics, digital displays and signs. Advice, design, production and installation come from one workshop.
On the ground
Two things set the island apart from the mainland: the rhythm and the journeys.
The rhythm. A business whose trade hangs on the season does not want building work and installation in the middle of its best weeks. Planning on Rügen therefore works differently from a town with steady year-round trade – the question is not only what gets built, but when it should be standing.
The journeys. Between Bergen and Kap Arkona lie distances you do not cover several times in a day. So we group what can be grouped: measuring up, fitting and handover are arranged so that as few journeys as possible are needed. Our lettering for the kebab restaurant „Bis Morgen" stands in Altenkirchen in the north of the island – distance is not a reason to say no.
With hotels and hospitality it rarely stops at the facade, either. The illuminated lettering outside usually goes with menus, flyers or notices inside – printed material we produce as well, so the identity holds from the street to the table.

How it works
Photographs and rough dimensions are enough for a first enquiry – of the facade, the entrance or the window. Tell us at the same time by when it should be standing; on the island the timing is often as important as the build.
From the logo and your requirements comes a design you see before production. Where no design exists yet, we make one. On suitable projects we come out to measure up and look at the mounting situation before manufacturing.
We build to the approved design and fit it ourselves. Where several pieces of work are due – lettering, window graphics and printed material, say – we plan them together, so nobody drives across the island three times.
Travel and installation
Our service area covers the whole island, from Bergen and Binz up to Wittow in the north. That the further corner belongs to it too is shown by our lettering in Altenkirchen. We have no branch on Rügen; our workshop is on the mainland in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen, and we come to you for measuring up and installation.
Because the journey counts, we arrange appointments so that as much as possible is done in one trip. What sensibly goes together we will tell you as soon as we know what is due.

Do you work across the whole island?
Yes, our service area covers the whole island – from Bergen and Binz up to Wittow in the north. What we have carried out there so far is the illuminated lettering for the restaurant „Bis Morgen" in Altenkirchen. Distance does not decide whether we take a project on, only how we arrange the appointments.
Have you already done work on Rügen?

When should we enquire before the season?
Early enough that design, production and installation do not fall into your strongest weeks. How much time a particular project needs depends on the build, the scope and the installation – tell us the date you have in mind and we will tell you whether it is realistic.
Do you also make menus and flyers?
Yes. Alongside signage we produce printed material for hospitality – menus, flyers, notices and the like. It plans well together with a signage project, so that inside and outside carry the same design.
Do you have premises on Rügen?
No. Our workshop is on the mainland in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen. We look after projects on the island and come to you for measuring up and installation – we have no branch on Rügen.
Will you come to the island to measure up?
On suitable projects, yes. Photographs with rough dimensions are enough for the enquiry; before production we look at measurements and the mounting situation on site. We try to cover several points in one journey.
